"Serenity Moments"
Blown glass "rocks" inspired by the art of Japanese knotting. The purpose of these hand-blown "Serenity Moments" rocks was to create an object that could feel contemplative when viewed, or simply admired for the serene quality of the object. Wrapped with leather, rattan, cord and accented by sea urchin spines,mineral donut beads or porcupine quills.
Each piece is handblown and handcrafted in Santa Fe, NM. They are then sandblasted, sealed, knotted and tied in different ways with different media such as cane, reed or leather. Other aesthetic additions might include flat rocks, driftwood, sea urchin spines or hand pulled glass rods.
